What equipment and props do you take with you and do you use an assistant?
Could you also tell me what type of photography you are doing -Wedding -Kids & family -Newborns -Glamour etc.... I wonder this because all my photography is done in the persons home or on location and I often feel overwhelmed with the amount of stuff Im trying to lug around with me |

I shoot mostly seniors and weddings; with that being said I normally bring both of my bodies(20d/30d) one with my 85 f/1.8 and the other with my 17-50 f/2.8.
For seniors, I hook up my 430ex to my 30d and bring a 5-1 reflector/diffusor thats about 4 ft. across. For weddings, I normally have an assistant with a vivitar 285 hv on it, sometimes with a shoot through umbrella and cybersyncs. I carry all my equipment(bodies, lenses, flashes, and accesories) in my Canon 200eg backpack and my impact light stands in individual shoulder bags. Its not too bad to carry around when I'm fully loadeddown. Alot of photogs around my part of the world(Oklahoma) use just one body and an on camera flash and they return some pretty solid results. |
