I'm a soldier stationed at fort knox. Dont have all the money in the world. But i am wanting to know some basic lights and lighting to start out for a small studio. Just me shooting some friends now and then. And backdrops? Muslin Fabric? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

For lights, I'd check out Alienbees and Calumet Genesis Kits. I use a lot of fabrics for backdrops, very inexpensive and look nice!
