Nice BDW. Way to get up under the visor, I like the JS7 shot.

Great shot Gomboman

I'm about to start shooting for a friend that's opening a mx/sx school this month. I already know I need a better camera but limited on funds. I'm looking at either a used 1D2N or gripped 40D. What would you choose? I've debated on selling the 5D for a 1D3 but I do a lot of portrait work and yet see many 1D3 portraits with good image quality to match the 5D.

I'm by no way an expert but I really like my 1D MK II N. The camera is getting old though. One of the limiting factors is the 8.2MP sensor. I also have access to a 7D which is better for cropping and higher ISO but I still like the IQ better from the 1D MK II N if you can fill the frame.

If you are going to print large I would suggest a 7D or 50D. I used to own a 40D and the AF is much better with the 1D MK II N.

Tough call, I would say to look for a 7D if you can swing it. My next body will probably be a 1D MK III because I would have a hard time moving away from a 1D body.

Maybe some of the more experienced shooters could chime in....

These are literally straight out of the camera. I never highlight a small part like the eyes or something, it's to much effort. If I don't get it right the first time, it gets chucked! Thanks

I lied, I bumped up the saturation a little on the Laninovich shot.

I'm still quitting photography. Those two shots ruined it for me. LOL

It's so rare to catch KW out of form that when you do, you have to save it!
