Default The Official Shoot the Moon Thread

I couldn't find a "shoot the moon" thread. There seems to be one for every person that's done it. Figured I'd try and get a common place for it.

It's a blue moon tonight, shoot it!

Here are a couple of my attempts. I shot it with two different lenses. Both shots are 100% crops with zero post processing. Tripod and 2 second timer used. (I don't have a remote.) Exif intact. Shot from San Diego, Ca.

1: Shot with Canon 28-135 EF f/3.5-5.6 IS Kit Lens that came with the 7D.

2: Shot with Canon 70-210 EF f/4 Lens

My first successful moon shoot.

I was kinda thinking along the same line.

Original was taken with:
Canon EOS 50D
f 5.6
1/800 sec.
ISO-200
300mm

Modified for text and small file size.

Nice images!

Mine is not the blue moon, it's the last moon before the blue moon, shot on 27-Nov-2009.
