With everyone's lights off it was a great time to do moon shots.

I finally got time to execute this and captured my first moonshot with my Nokia N97 phone camera last night.

Ok, I cheated a bit ....... I actually tied (using rubber bands) my 12x50 birding binocular to my 3421 gimbal head/475B tripod, focused the thing on the moon, then put the N97's lens to one of the the eyepieces. It took many tries before I got a recognizable moon.

Manila Moon - March 30, 2010
Hand held Nokia 97 + 12x50 binocular on 3421 gimbal head/475B tripod, converted to grayscale then resized to 30%

Make = Nokia
Model = N97
Exposure Time = 1/1000"
F Number = F2.8
ISO Speed Ratings = 200
Date Time Original = 2010-03-30 21:41:22
Focal Length = 5.4mm

These taken 4/5 early morning after storms went thru:

Break in the clouds, using my EF-S 55-250 kit lens @ 250mm, ISO 100, 1/125, f 6.3

And 10 minutes later more clouds came in, so I tried to capture the clouds with moonlight and star field. I took a bunch of shots at various time exposures and zooms, this wide shot turned out best.
using my EF-S 18-55 kit lens @ 18mm, 6 sec exposure, ISO 800, f6.3
