Is this an easy install yourself? Or, Would Canon have to do it?
I've always wanted one so I can use MF alot more .. Then again, I'd hate to wreck any of my 20D's lol! I remember the ole days, changing a screen was a snap!

I have a funny feeling tho .. I'd f it all up with any one of mine .. hahaha
edit: I just found this thread on the 40D .. are our 20D's the same?

Tomi Hawk, on the 20D...it is very easy to change the focus screen. It takes maybe 3 minutes to change out. My problem is I can't find a decent price on a screen for the 20D. I really want a used one. Mine is scratched..does not affect photo's at all, but I can understand people being afraid to but it. Posted here, Craigslist, and EBay..no go. It's a super deal on the package. So I think you should change out the screen yourself when your ready. If you can walk and chew gum at the same time...go for it.....your qualified. Stephen.

Yeah, stll tho .. I'm very reluctant to do anything like that myself ..
I agree .. once I did it tho, I'd prolly see just how easy it is. I think it'd be just as easy to take it to someone, and have them slap it in ..

I really miss the *prism* *freznel* type split screen of my old 35mm Nikon's.
