This past saturday I shoot the wedding of my brother in law's sister. She married a soldier who is soon to be deploy to Iraq. A bit of controversy since they're both 18yo but a nice and happy wedding non the less.
Im looking for Comments and suggestions since I'm trying to do this as a part time job. All shots taken with XTi, 50mm 1.8, Sigma 70-300mm APO, and the awesome xti kit lens! (18-55mm) --I know... that was a risk! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Trying to get a WWII feeling ![]() ![]() thanks for looking!

I really like the feel of these shots! XIF data would be great, as I have a similar lens collection.

Wow. That's all I have to say. I am very rarely impressed with "first paid gig" shots, but if the rest of them are anything like this, they look great! Good job!

Very well done! You're well on your way

and they say you can't shoot weddings with rebels. they look good. her ring looks out of focus in 4 and the vignette in 5 I feel hurts more than helps.

Pretty solid job. I think the editing could be better on all of them.. but we all have our own styles.
1 - I like it, except for the coloring. 2 - Same as above. 3 - I think that it's cropped in a little too closely, the top of his thumb is almost chopped off and I think that if it had some of her wrist pictures it would be more flattering.. Not to mention the tips of his fingernails could use a little healing brush. 4 - Your vignette is way too harsh here, it should be so obviously black. Also, the colors here look flat and kind of desaturated. I think at heart it is a nice shot of the two of them (not sure if tilt adds to it but it's ok) but the editing is really detracting from it. 5 - Nice shutter drag. 6 - I get what you were going for.. though I think it would be better if it were just their upper bodies and the background, the tables are making the photo distracting IMO. 7 - Fun!

guys! thank you so much for your input! its exactly what i need. in all honesty I put these few together really quick since my wife insisted on me doing them for the bride to post on Facebook hahaha! . I didnt spend the time I should have spent on them.
Now with your input I will be re-editing these and watching my work on the other ones! I was nervous about using the kit lens, In this set the only was that was shot with it is the one of the guys dancing... I think the kit lens held up pretty well for that one.
