Default New BreezeBrowser v2.5a beta

There is a new release for you G3 Raw junkies...I am in no way connected with this company...btw. There is also a BreezeBrowser v2.5. I downloaded the BreezeBrowser v2.5a beta version *Sweet* just my 2 cents. Happy Dark-rooming. BreezeBrowser v2.5a beta 1 contains fixes for the custom white balance and linear raw conversion problems and can be downloaded from here: http://www.breezesys.com/BreezeBrowser/index.html#new

I have already tested it, and it appears to perform linear conversions as required, and also "combined" conversions. We have it all...

cheers

I notice that combined versions look a little washed out compared to normal. Is this the desired effect?

It appears that there is no one "best conversion".
I tried the combined conversion and it works very well!
To benefit from this conversion you must have very bright areas in your image ( sky or very clear surfaces).
The normal conversion gives a "flat aspect" due to the loss of details in these area.
By using the combined version you save the "delicate nuances" by using the linear conversion result giving you more highlights.
But you know there is only 255 levels to see on your screen! So you must steel levels somewhere!

Thanks. Makes sense, and it does work nicely on blown out images.
So far it BB beta works great in both Linear and Custom White Balance of the G3.

Now, to work on a G3 ICC profile and linear workflow!
