Something seems a little off. The first one is the better of the 2 but maybe a little flat? I think it could be exposed a little brighter. The bottom one is nice but the shadow on the back wall seems a little harsh for a bounced flash. Heres some from new years when I had just gotten my 430EXII

I do not see much "off" in the images. Just a bit of shine on the head in the first. Did you really bounce straight up or at an angle? I ask this because of the shadow in #2 which should have been less when bouncing straight up. But no dark eye-sockets (is what sometimes happens when you bounce) so that is good. Bit more contrast may be in #1....

I guess number two was an angle, not real bounce, because this is a very high ceiling (2 story) .

It is fairly easy to remove those shadows. I did a quick run but when you take a bit more time you can perfect it. Just paint the shadow out on a second layer.

At least to my eye the color is just slightly off. I think a curves adjustment makes it a little better, or is it just my monitor?

I think the WB is off and most, actual all, of these look just like snapshots to me.

His first post said he was taking snapshots, I don't see where he's claiming they are anything more.
