Default Your Help And Advice Please

Hi All

I am a very amateur photographer and have just been given a Canon SX Powershot 200 IS by my wife for my birthday. I intend to take a lot of Macro & Super Macro shots of coins and other metal detecting finds. Do any of you know the best platform to use for this? By this I mean , do I just need a desktop tripod or do I need a 'Camera copy stand lamp/light tripod? My new camera can focus at 2cm in macro & 0cm in Super Macro. Do I need tripod or copy stand?? Any advice on the best course of action would be most appreciated. Ireally do not have much of a clue on this?

Thanks in advance guys

Copy stand is probably overkill, but a tripod and good lights will do wonders to your macro photography. Nothing kills sharpness like a bit of camera shake and when your working with distances measured in CMs, even a little rocking back and forth will lead to a blury picture.
