my camera had alot of dust, and this is different story than the cotten swab thing i posted earlier. but i bought dust-aid, and i used it. at first i thought it was good. then i found out i set the aperture to f/4 so i took one at 22. it looked ok. then i imported it and used auto tone on photoshop. ewwww. the dust-aid added MORE dust, and i was being careful. in the first photo you can see the streak marks it left (that straight line of dust). i did not touch the dust-aid thing, and i used it carefully btw. but then i got the sensor swab and the eclipse liquid, and it sucked it all up with one swab, two swipes. i used f/32 infinity, and i used autotones. second photo is with sensor-swab. i highly recommend it. don't use any other product. though expensive, you might only need wet cleaning every month or so.

for real. please just go away, you're crushing my dreams. I guess people would rather see pictures of dust than a bad-ass camera.

You should throw your lens out of focus for best indication of sensor dust.

A wet clean every month?
I'm carefull when I change lenses sure but in 4 years of digital SLR photography I've never needed one. A blow out with a rocket blower every now and again and the odd clean with an Artic Butterfly brush every few months has always taken care of the dust. Are you taking pictures in a coal mine or something? Cheers Lee

^ Agreed.
Just what are you doing that warrants that type of cleaning every month? I've never had to clean my lil XS or even my older Rebel 2000 (EVER).

There was a problem with DustAid a year or two ago. Apparently it was destroying a certain type of Canon sensor, can't remember which one but I have avoided that product ever since.

Dust Aid is a use-once system. You never put a pad back inside the camera once used.
