I'm probably risking overexposure (pun intended) on this forum by posting so many photographs. Sorry about that

I think its nicely done, would be better if your chin wasn't cut off IMO.

Nice shot - I think the letterbox crop is not bad. Question: did you try to PP the glare on your nose? If so, then it is not evenly done. If not, you might do something about it. My eyes are drawn to that spot instead to the eyes...

Good comment on the nose hot spot. I hadn't done anything with it. The image above is updated with the spot minimized.

This reminds me of a shot I once saw of Oliver Reed. Cracking lighting and great effect, although I think vk2gwk has a point.

Actually Jim, the glare was fixed since that comment (read the post above yours). Are you still perceiving it as a problem? If I lessen it anymore it's going to affect the overall three-dimensionality of the nose.

I've looked at a number of the shots you've uploaded this past couple of days, and anything I've said is nit-picking; all very impressive! I've been looking at them with a view to improving my own photography, so please feel free to challenge anything I say - I'm no expert!

It's all good Jim, I understand. Thanks for the kudos...and that also goes to everyone else.

I keep looking back at it to see if it bothers me or not and... I dunno!

Thanks everyone. I had a little space from the original to include more of my chin so the above image has been updated.

Instead of "updating" the image you might want to leave the previous versions in place. That way we can compare and comment on the changes. I am not sure if "more chin" makes it a more attractive image. I liked the previous crop. I also would like to compare the "original" nose with the processed one.

I'll keep that in mind for future updates. I reverted back to the original (but with the nose hotspot fixed) because something got lost in the mix when I extended the chin. I just didn't like it at all so I have deleted it and replaced it. While it would be fun to have it up there for a comparison, I don't see the point because it's not what I want. So, if I post other stuff and modify it along the way, I'll leave the various versions in the thread...just not this one.
