One of the first times I shot with my new SX20is...still working out the settings

Not bad for the equipment used

I think I'd add a bit of vignetting to darken the guy in the BG and make him less of a distraction.

Nice capture, John...for any equipment. It looks like you have a good handle on dragging the shutter and balancing the flash already.

thanks...I think my biggest issue with this camera is going to be focusing...I may be expecting too much, so I think taking a step back and expecting less will actually result in more, if that makes sense LOL

here's one before the set...I am very interested in musical instruments and equipment and I wanted to capture Jerry's tenor and alto, as they are an iconic and integral part of who he is:

a more standard shot...available light was very low, so even adjusting settings was a bit tricky, as the camera is new and I am not familiar with it...I'll continue to work on that
