Default my new computer is up and running

intel i7-920, noctua heatsink w/ 2 fans, asus p6td deluxe motherboard, 6gb of corsair dominator memory, corsair hx650w powersupply, radeon 5750 graphics card, 80gb intel ssd (coming this friday, on a 150gb velociraptor right now).

this thing flys even at stock speed. i can boot into windows 7 ultimate at 4.0ghz but gets blue screen with any load. i need to work backwards to find the highest stable overclock. slider bar adjustments in lightroom are now instant. 100% zoom loads almost instantly at stock 2.67ghz. my old Athlon A64 would take a while to render 100%. pixel peeping has never been easier. now i no longer fear the 30mb raw files from the 7D. i had to use mraw before because my computer takes too long to do anything with the raw file.

next up is to buy a new storage drive and move my current 500gb to the server computer. trying to decide between the 1tb caviar black or the samsung spinpoint f3. they are both the same price within a few bucks from amazon. any recommendations?

Congrats!

For storage there is no need to spend the extra money on the Caviar Black models. Instead go with the Caviar Green drives to save some cash and use less power (more cash).
