Default t1i help with choppy video

I currently have windows xp with media player version 11. The series 9 media player is no longer avail for download for xp. Audio is fine, but the media player can't play all the frames and it keeps "skipping". Can someone help me with this. I don't what to do and I would like to make sure I haven't just been dumping video clips onto a computer that will never be able to play them. Thanks for the imput.

I tried vlc player (free), and it seemed to resolve choppy playback, but editing the files is still a pain - i believe they benefit greatly from converting to another file type for editing (at least in windows)

Download the VLC player. Then you'll need to tweak it in the preferences menu. I had the same issue with me 7D.

Here's the info.

I playback my clips with quicktime and they play with no hiccups. Also make sure you transfer the clips to your pc before playback. Most times it choppy when you play straight from the SD card
