Yea I played with the slider a lot. Tried making it look like the old photo's my dad has around his office. :-|

Yes, I should have bought a 5dII instead, or just saved more for 5dIII. The 5d I already own is great value for a full frame (at $350). The 6d is great on paper, but it has a whole bunch of features that are completely meaningless to me (wifi, gps, HDR), and the one thing I wish it did instead was go to 1/8000 like the old 5d does. The colors it produces don't look quite right to me, and the AWB doesn't work as good as on the old 5d. Unfortunately I don't have the time or cash to get something better right now, so I'll continue to learn more about it and use it. But so far I really do regret buying this thing. Comparing groups on Flickr - 5dII vs 6d, the 5dII images were vastly better. I assumed it was the people behind the camera, 6d being marketed towards amateur shooters, but I'm not convinced that is the case any longer.

I am supposed to get my 35mm f2 IS back from Canon today, so hopefully that changes things a bit. They wouldn't fix my 5d, so I 'upgraded.'

I'll end the rant there. The guys in the 6d section are probably sick of my complaining already, so I'll spare the rest of you. Lesson learned - newer ≠ better.

Honestly, 1/8000 is not much better in bright conditions, ND filter is a must buy.

My experience says otherwise. I've never needed one before now, and I'm really not interested in filters.
