Default "spider web" around the moon....

This was one of my 1st moon pictures taken with my T1i, I had the camera for maybe 1-2 weeks then (Nov-2009).
I basically knew zero about moon shots and was attempting to take full moon photo. The moon was setting into the tree line on the west of my lot.
There was slight fog/mist rolling by, and detail of the moon was lost, so I took this shot and it came out as is.
I used a tripod, 55-250 kit lens.

I did minimal PP on this photo.

Q to experts here:
What caused the "spider web" around the moon?
It's really cool but not a real spider web, that spider would be huge.

Internal reflections in my lens?
I showed this picture to a guy at work today and he asked me what caused that, I could not answer so asking here.
I've never had this phenomena happen on any of my 1,000's pictures taken since.

Since then I've learned to take "decent" moon shots capturing detail.

exif data:
Quote:
# Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 1/2 second ===> 0.5 second
# Lens F-Number / F-Stop = 5/1 ===> ƒ/5
# Exposure Program = shutter priority (4)
# ISO Speed Ratings = 800
# Original Date/Time = 2009:11:03 06:03:34
# Focal Length = 146/1 mm ===> 146 mm

Looks like moonlight reflecting off the tree branches to me.

Yup, just a lucky shot with the moon catching the branches to make that effect. That's pretty cool though!

Cool photo but I agree, it just looks like the moons light reflecting off the branches. Only other thought would be a reflection off some very high "ice clouds."

I think he said Spider Web in quotes because he knew it was the brances and not really a spider web!

Nice shot, I do like alternative shots of the moon when close-up zoom shots aren't possible or required.
