Default Need help selecting which images to retouch and give to client/show as portfolio

I took my first graduation photographs today at balboa park in San Diego

Which images would you say are my strongest images? I know there are a lot of images to look through. Thank you so much!

Can you at least narrow down the choices from 140? No one's going to sift through that many images.

Well, that's what happens when you shoot too many. Edit them all and consider it practiced and only ditch the ones that are way off... Been there, I learned, get the shots, don't machine gun them, and work only with the best, I'm not doing your cull for you. That's part of being a photographer, especially on paying gigs...

Man... I can't delete anything its too hard because I feel like all the shots might have potential. I don't want to delete something someone might like.. Here is one I liked though

You have a strong set if images but you really need to narrow it down to no more than 20 images. A lot of the images are redundant like IMG_4690 to IMG_4703, are all basically the same shot so only need to choose one. Your full length shots need to be cropped vertical, there is too much dead space on either side of her which really detracts from the subject.

Digital Panda.... you took some nice images!
I love your lighting.....
Remember to watch for things like necklace clasps.... my eyes keep going to the girl on the rights necklace....(you CAN fix this in PP though, if you must!)

I love the DOF on many of the close-ups! I think if the girls knew they were taking pictures together, seems they would not have worn two colors so close...and yet...so different. (make sense?)

Sometimes you have to offer them the details.... but alot of times they wear what they want, I know!!
Nice work!

BE SURE to cull the images PRIOR to showing them..... they wil NOT be able to choose and you will lose a good sale with too many images.

Do you have Lightroom?

1. import photos
2. mark all bad ones with rejected flag and delete them.
3. Mark all the best with white flag, make a collection and work on them
4. Forget the rest. They are not deleted, only not showing in your collection.

If you dont have Lightroom, go get it
