Default What is this? Eos 5Dmkii

Hi
I was about to swicth lenses on my 5dmkii when I found that little guy on the mirror??
Camera seems to be working flawlessly....

?It is a piece of material, soft on one side and shiny on the other side. I didn't notice any part where it seems to be fitting...

That's huge! I'd send it in for repair if it is missing something that big. If you use it there is a chance something might be damaged further. Just my thoughts...

Yeah but where does it come from It was on the mirror how did it get there? Is there an eploded view of the 5Dmkii somewhere?

Interesting. If it's soft on one side, it sound silk it's supposed to prevent light reflection, kind of like the furry inside of a lens hood. Maybe it was supposed to be on the walls of the mirror box? Or on the underside of the mirror?

I should have done some thinking before freaking out, but I was taking pictures of my baby turtle, that just woke up after a six-month sleep, and I guess I was not really focussed on gear...my bad!
