Default how to magnify the image, crop the unwanted portion and save the magnified image?

I have canon A1100 IS. Iknowhow to magnify a image.But how do u crop the image and save it as a new image?

You want to shoot at max resolution for starters. What Photo editing program are you using? Simply use the crop tool and crop the best part of the image and 'save as'

I think he wants to do it in the camera. I don't know if you can. Some cameras have VERY limited editing abilities. Best to do it in the computer though.

Check your manual, pages 96 or 97 and read some info on the limited editing available.

Yes, you can crop within the camera at least I can with my SD960. The Op needs to provide more input.

It's called Trimming in the User Guide on pages 123,124 (PDF version downloaded from Canon).

That's the SD1100; OP has the A1100, which doesn't support this at all.
