Hello everyone! I'm very new to taking pictures and just bought my first camera (Canon Powershot SX120is). I know it's not the best but I wanted to get something so that when my wife and I move to California this month we'll have plenty of pictures during our roadtrip for our scrapbook. I studied online last night about taking macro pictures and figured I'd try my hand at a few since it's a lovely North Carolina day! I'd love to hear your suggestions and any comments! Thanks guys!!!

Also, slighty confused on the number of pictures I could put in my opening thread post. I've seen some others post more than two...Just curious. And I think the sizes should be correct. I apologize in advance if I violate the rules.

Good shots- lovely colours.
Think you are limited to 2 shots per post if you upload the pics here. Many of us host pictures elsewhere and link them - allowed to show 8 pictures max per post then.

I use photobucket to host the images, so I hope that will suffice. As far as the colors go, I don't really know all the settings I used. To be perfectly honest, I read up on the "Triangle" of AP,SS,and ISO and just went from there. Had it set on Macro, and then adjusted until the contrast of the image was good, and then enhanced the colors with the "Vivid" setting and some angling. I'll def. start recording the specs! I'm really happy with the way they came out, it just seems that when the photos are enlarged that the quality SEVERELY decreased. Any suggestions for a newbie? This is seriously my first camera i've owned personally and never used anything other than the dreaded "auto" setting...any input is appreciated!!:D
