Thank God for the filters. They're absolutely doing a great job =) (especially in your line of work)
Dude that last shot must have made that guy quite dizzy. OUCH!

I must be crazy to do this...the lens was not damaged. I just had to very carefully clean off all the shards of glass with a blower...

Definitely not your average sport photo assignment!
Great "shots" again! (I hope you have some good insurance coverage on that equipment though!)

Whoa, I had a little trouble getting them at first ... very revealing seeing the real hazards ... do these guys even look before they shoot?

Well here is an unexpected hazard of paintball photography… the unauthorized use of one of my photos in the following advertisement.
Here is my picture: ![]() Here is a banner ad from http://pbwarehouse.net/ ![]() The watermark was cropped and removed from my copyrighted image!!! Last edited by PaintballPhotography.com : 29th of July 2005 (Fri) at 23:56. |

Do they even look where they are shooting? Heck, only with their peripheral vision... If it moves, send a pellet that way!

Did you about have a heart attack when you saw your 28-300? Yikes. The pictures are very cool.

Great shots there Gary/PaintballPhotography.com
I am having a crack at covering local paintball tournaments in England this year and your photos are something to aspire to. The DSLR with the broken filter is scary, but I like it - every paintballer asks me if I've taken a shot on the lens but luckily I've never quite taken a hit like that! The shots of players taking hits are pretty cool too. If this is the wrong place to do this, please forgive me, but if I may can I quickly ask a three questions; What settings do you usually have your DSLR set to? Question is more about technique - I know we can sense the way a game is going when your on the field, but to get the paintball burst shots do you basically 'post' up on the player and take loads of shots? I am thinking of covering the Campaign Cup this year so a quick last question. What do you have to do to become a NPPL or Millennium series media partner? Apart from that keep up the good work! Ray |
