Question Canon Tele Extender/Converter EF 2x Mk II plus Canon 70-200 Lens

Has anybody used the above with a Canon EF 70-200mm 70-200 f2.8 F/2.8 L IS Lens and Canon 20D Camera. I am very worried due to recent post on problems arising when used. I have the Converter and Lens on order.

I would appreciate any comments.

Thanks

On my 10D, the 2x + 70-200 f/2.8 L IS is too soft for my liking unless stopped down 1 to 2 stops. A 400 mm f/11 lens is a bit too slow unless you up the ISO and have a bright day.

The same thing that i wanted to do some time ago. Then i read a lot of info´s that you loose to much quality using the 2x TC.

I made up my mind and bought the 100-400L (because i need the reach, not the f2.8 ). I´ll never regret that step.

Oh... but i´m still saving for the 70-200L IS f2.8 and yes i will get the 1.4x TC for use with my 100-400L. Don´t care about lose of the AF. Even without the TC i already do a lot of shooting in MF.
