I'll likely stick with my polarizer with adapter and filters attached to it. |

ordered 100 nuts and bolts for everyone today. I was ordering parts for something else and figured I'd piggyback it to reduce the shipping. I'll be able to "sell" these to you guys for cheap maybe next week if anyone is looking for the fix.

it won't. The screws don't stick out enough to scratch the GNDs and they stick out enough to block the CP/10-stopper. The only issue is if you try to put in a GND upside down in the first slot.

I just got some 1" lee screws, screwed them in from the back so filters in the front can sit on top of them. Can adjust it so about 3 filters can rest on them; just have to be careful when putting a 4x6 in there that the screws aren't extended too far and scratch it.

that's why I went with the exact right length and spacer nuts as well. No worries hitting anything.

No no, this solution would be the same problem no matter how you do it for me, so that's not the problem, the problem is just remembering to adjust them appropriately.

no, that's the point, there's NO ADJUSTMENT with my setup. It's just set so the first slot is for 4x4 only and the second and third are for 4x6 (or 4x4 and they can slide out). Like I said, it's setup with the right length so that they're ONLY in the way of the first slot and nothing more. The screws live in that first spot all the time and have never been adjusted after the first time I installed them.

I thought about that for a split second before realizing that wouldn't work for me. I don't want to leave my CP in there and I don't want to mess with screws every time I use the filter. I just forced myself to learn to keep the brass screw on the right side ALL THE TIME so the filter is always screws down and I've been fine.

The reason I use the longer screws is say a lee big stopper, an additional ND or GND and polarizer all of which are 4x4 so I wanted something long enough to be able to go under the 3 slots so nothing can fall all the way through.

the glass filters are the only one's I've had slide on me though, so really just the CP since the 10 has the gaskets.
either way, I have all the screws here now. They're stainless. If anyone wants some PM me and I'll sell you a set. I'm thinking $2 for a setup shipped? This original setup cost me that much in the local hardware store, so you're paying the normal amount but getting stainless AND shipping included. And I'll cover my costs and have a beer. ![]()

Add mine to the list of casulties, although I was able to tape it and it is still usable. I guess I'll wait till i see one on sale here and pick up another one. Anyone here have one they want to sell me? LOL.

I am looking to buy some Lee filters to upgrade from my current Cokin P types. Currently my widets lens is the Canon EF-S 15-85 on a 7D, but this will liekly change in the future. Most of the example pictures using the 4x4CPL are of seascapes with horizontal horizons. How well does this work when using a grad when the horizon isn't level and the grad need to be tilted? Is the 90 degree rotation of the CPL enough to give good effects? I suppose I could hand hold a grad in front of the holder if I couldn't get this to work. Would the Lee professional holder help or would this vignette too much? Would the 105mm CPL vignette on my current setup? - the Cokin P definitely does, even though I have the WA adapter and the CPL is closest to the lens.

argh, my lee 10 stopper broke in my filter case. Went to use it the other day and pulled it out to find 3 pieces held together by the foam tape.
