Default I've been published!!

I was ecstatic yesterday to find out from the team president that I have been shooting for (collegiate summer league baseball) that some of my photos were going to be in two newspapers in the DC metropolitan area with full credit to me!! I am excited, in one weeks worth of shooting the team (three weeks of total dslr useage) I have been put on three websites and am going to be in two newspapers (for now ) and on the news!! Wow, what an experience!!

I shot in manual, I went through multiple sports books and forums and then went to practices to see what worked/looked best. Helps being a sports fan for years so I know what shots I like.

I take it that is code for $0.00. I always get paid by the newspapers I have photos published in, ranging from $50 to $150.

I think what Dave's getting at here is did you charge them for the photo usage or did you simply trade your image for photo credit.

Why shouldn´t he know how to use a DSLR after 3 weeks?! If you´re not retarded you must get familiar with it within 3 hours. 1 Week is maximum if you want to try everything outside.

When I bought my DSLR, after five weeks I got a press pass including photopit access and traveled to Vienna to shoot a concert.

I guess I'm retarded then .... it took me much longer than 3 weeks to learn to shoot properly with a DSLR. I guess then you must be a genius to learn to shoot good enough in 3 weeks to have the images published!

Relax, they are baseball photos, I doubt that the standard is incredibly high.
