Afternoon all,

Had a great day out in the sun shooting planes. Popped along to the Cotswolds Air show where they put on a great flying display. Unfortunately I still have nothing longer than 200mm, but hey that was just about long enough for most things and my 70-200mm f4l performed admirably as per usual.

Hi,

Not usually a big fan of the beautiful 'planes on the deck, but your shot of the Typhoon is outstanding in my opinion bw!....the rest dont suck either!!!!!

Great frames. The Typhoon is awesome to look at, though my favorite is the vespa pilot waving at you from inside the Cubby (That a Piper Cub?). Very nice series of the Royal AF.

Yep it was a Piper Cub, the pilot performed a great little display up and down the runway - commentary team had set it all up asking for the Piper Cub engineer to come and move his aircraft which was parked in an important area. After this call had been repeated several times the next message was "O no, the Piper Cub owner has turned up and it doesn't look like he knows the first thing about flying..."

No doubt an old joke, but still nicely executed!

Cheers, yeah a cracking day, I was also unprepared for the sun....kept my fleece on most of the day to keep my arms covered!
