Hi, im totally new to photography and plan to make it a business, but an oppurtunity came across really quick and a local boutique is interested in my photos, if this goes well, how much should I charge, if they wanted to schedule a photo shoot session, for all their dresses and accessories, for use on their website, leaflets, posters and other marketing materials. This is going to be my first project as a photographer if ever, need all the help i can get, thanks in advance guys..

Welcome to POTN. You say that you are totaly new to photography so you need to be absoulutely sure that you can deliver the types of shots the boutique wants. Do you have all the gear required to do it. That includes lighting. You will need more than just an external flash. If you can deliver what they want, it will give your business a good jump. If you accept the job and they don't like the results, it will really hurt you business.
Regarding prices: you can get detailed information from the ASMP and from software such as fotoBiz and fotoQuote. You would have a Creative fee and the you charge for Rights. Those charges are based on how each photo is used and they quantity of brochures etc.. |

About the equipment, I do have it and I'm confident we could deliver the pictures they wanted, cause we made some shots for them just to show how the pictures would come out and they like it, I just need to be able give them a price that is fair for my business and for them, and as well as the photography business, cause i've have a red some post here about others giving away their pictures for free or at a very low price, thus hurting the business, Thanks a lot for the info, more power POTN!
