I think you did her justice freddy. Very lovely photo of a lovely person. I couldn't tell you how to improve it because I like it just the way it is IMO.

Too soft on the focus all over for me. And I'm not sure she is wearing her colors which is causing skin color issues for my eyes. You've produced lots better. I bumped the levels up quite a bit and liked it better.

Re-sharpened and saturated a bit more. I had forgotten to check the sharpness after compressing to jpg. Not sure what you mean about the colors.
Any better?

Pretty good. White balance seems a little off to me.

I asked the expert in the house (a professional artist) about the colors. The comment was that the hair color (blond) doesn't match her facial complexion tones as well as her natural color would.

She's a pretty lady and the shapening and saturation did wonders. The eyes are a draw now.

I'm not sure. Don't you think it's too "dark" now? How about a "happier' one ?

I think they're both very nice pics, she shows a lovely smile in the second shot and the exposure looks great.......is the backround 'bokeh' or PS as it looks a little unnatural? She looks very calm and relaxed in the first pic, is that natural for her, or did you have to work hard to get the best?
Roger.

I like your second shot better. The first shot has a few problems.

1) suffers from a lack of contrast between the background, skin tones and top worn, creates a rather bland flat feel.

2) white balance is probably a little out also, feels a little too warm in colours for my liking. My take on correcting white balance is below.

3) The photo seems to be side lit either by bounced flash or adjacent window fairly well. Although the angle of the models face is less flattering in the first shot than in your second shot.

Overall i think you did a good job, but the similiar colour tones and hence lack of contrast kills the shot

Hope you didnt mind my meager post process attempt

Hello, Nabil. Thanks for your contribution, but your version seems a bit too cold for my taste, although you set me on the right pace. I corrected and replaced the original pic. Strange...last night when I was working on it, the WB thing wasn't so evident...
Someone asked about the "unnatural background"... So it happens I had my 50 mm 1.8 screwed on, 'cause we were about to take some interiors, and I forgot that lens gives that choppy bokeh on bright BG.!!
Regards
