Anyhow, if you have nothing to say that contributes to this actual thread, please dont bother in writing. Save the arguments and flossing the rules for when it is actually needed. The photo was removed way before any of this started, so it was really not necessary. Once again, lets stay on topic shall we =]

Two from Friday night, taken with 17-40L and 1D MkII.

Sadly the camera died with the 'err 99' on Sunday, so its off to Canon's..can't wait to get it back as I loved using it!

Thanks for everybody that stood up for me about these photos, I do agree that it does clearly state that this is a Not Safe For Work thread as well as a NIGHT CLUB thread, so some level of inappropriate material is implied. The event that night was a PORN party so I didnt think I was quite out of line on this regard. How ever the pic mentioned was pretty graphic and in bad taste. I should have though more about who can access this thread. For that I apologize, and a moderator was kind enough to switch those images out for optional links.

Hi Guys, I'm new here. I've read the entire old thread (man it took some time!) and caught up with this one. I am based in Brighton (UK) and work the clubs most weekends. Thought I'd join in and share some images with you all. The old thread was a real inspiration when I started club shoots 6 months ago, so a big thankyou to all the contributors. Some fantastic images there.

Heres a few of mine :

Great work man! Not sure if you edited that dj pic, to have the dark edges but it looks awesome either way!
Gotta say i FINALLY figured out the "light whirl" around the subject a couple weeks ago.

Yeah the dark edges are done with the vignetting tool in lightroom. It totally transforms the image. I always find the 'lightwhirl' shot a bit hit and miss, usually have to play around for a while to get a good one. Cheers

Would a 24-70, flash and 5D be too bulky for this sort of work? I need to start generating photography revenue and I am looking towards this.

that was my main setup for 4 years. it felt like too much at times but overall it was fine. but the last year or so I was primarily using the 50mm 1.4 just bcuz it was so light and low profile.

Not at all. I shoot with about that (size-wise) and a lot of the guys on here are mobile versions of B&H when they hit the clubs.

Don't expect to make a fortune though doing it. Unless you're fortunate and hook up with some good clients, you won't be able to live off of club photography exclusively. Safeguard your work and don't sell yourself short. If the clients won't meet your price, they're probably not worth the effort anyways.
