Dinosaurs + Central Park = Jurassic Park Engagement
Jenna and Tina decided to do their engagement session at the American Museum of Natural History. I used to go there a lot when I lived in the city, but hadn't been back there in ages. With Central Park right across the street, it only made sense for us to do some time shooting there as well. Funny story: We were looking for interesting backdrops for one of the ring shots, when Christina said, "Oooh, we should do one by the Paranthropus!" Me: "The what??" I just knew that there were some cool looking skulls I wanted to use. Well, it turns out that her degree is in Archeology and she actually knew the exact scientific name of that specimen. No joke... A few pics.....there are a few more on the WWW. C&C welcome as always. 1 ![]() 2 ![]() 3 ![]() 4 ![]() 5 ![]() 6 ![]() 7 ![]() 8 ![]()

That skull shot is awesome, very original and great set! Did she get acess to those because of her profession? Seems like those things would be hands off or behind a case of some sort.

Thanks for the comments.
We had no special access at all. A lot of the item are in display cases, but the skull was just mounted on a wall with several others. That one and other ring shots were done quickly since I was actually using museum displays as props (without asking). There's one on the website I kinda ducked under the ropes and shot up at the rings almost on my back. Had to do a really quick grab with that one, but it worked out well.

Two, five and eight are my faves.. Two, even though it's a look forward and smile shot, the framing is awesome and their pose still remains casual and natural looking - not forced. Five.. well.. it's a skull, so you will always get my approval there, haha, the last one has lovely back lighting. Adorable couple!
