The small black keeper. It would not allow the strap to go through it.

Received my Herringbone hand strap today.

The workmanship and quality is exquisite, excellent attention to detail and this can be seen immediately just by the packaging!

A plate DOES come with the body so you DON'T need a gripped body.

It's incredibly comfortable and its so freeing not having a neck strap anymore. As soon as you grab your camera its locked to your hand...no danger of EVER letting go and dropping it.

Just ordered my second one for my second camera body.

And to the OP thanks for the pictures....It made it easier attaching mine looking at your pics. Thanks for posting this thread. If you hadn't I wouldn't have one of these fantastic accessories.

Glad you like it, it does go well with a gripped 5dm2

Thanks again for the initial post. I'm very happy with the hand strap, it sure beats a neck strap.

The packaging blew me away. It would make a fantastic gift for a fellow photographer.

LOL I'm glad I had your pictures to follow for the installation....that old saying "A picture tells a thousand words" was so true.....I think I'd still be installing it

Can you have both a neck strap and this hand strap attached? Is that what the "strap ring" is for? Looks interesting and I wouldn't mind one but won't give up my neck straps

Yes, and I did read through it, but I wanted input after a few months from the original OP. OK? He's had it a couple months you know ... chance to learn if it was nice or had little issues. He PMed me and as it turns out he is happy and had some insight as to a few issues I can expect so get over it ...

I've had mine for about 2 years or so. I used to use both neck and hand strap together with the little "strap ring", but found that for my needs, I didn't need the neck strap and it got in the way a lot.

Got mine off of eBay. Black with Red Stitching. First class quality. Really, really nice leather and I haven't had any issues with it. I do not use the plate that came with it. I attach directly to a Kirk L bracket. This hand grip goes perfect with the Cotton Carrier system. Haven't used a neck strap for a long, long time and have no plans of going back to one.

I'm just trying to help you......chillax.....go shoot some photos or spend some money on eBay and buy a hand strap.

Or just admit that you were wrong....

LOL....I'm over it....lets see if you are
