Awesome shots, and some awesome bands I love the first one of Lamb of God

This is the kind of photography I'd like to do, what lenses do you use and on what body etc?

Great shots. Lots of energy. How did you do the lighting?

Great shots, love #2 the motion blur is awesome! Looks like the lighting was tricky, but you handled it very well, lots of action in these pics.
Roger.

Nice job. You did a great job of capturing the energy and feel on the concert. I would be interested also in hearing about some of the technical side of the shot.

Wow, thanks for all the compliments! All shots were taken handheld with a Canon 20d and EF-S 17-85 IS. 580 EX flash was used on photos # 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10 and 12 in second curtain mode with ISO at 100 or 200, the others at ISO 1600 with no flash. I'll post shutter speeds and aperture values when I get home from work.

This post is so old the sample photos are no longer up

I *think* the crowd show was second curtain flash @ ISO 800 with a 1/15 sec exposure. It's hard to remember though asa this was three years ago and the photos are long archived
