Use 3 angles and make sure the sound guy is standing by. We can't wait to see the compiled footage.

Just heard back from Dr. King.
Montana had a twist in her intestines right where the large and small intestines meet. He said it appeared that it had been that way for awhile, and where it twisted had died and fallen off. She never showed any symptoms, never complained. She was a happy sweet puppy full of life and energy. Even with her abdomen full of awful nastiness.

I'm happy to hear (as happy as I can be) that it wasn't something that was preventable. I was so afraid to hear that she had gotten into something poisonous, or that it might have been something contagious.

Even if we had figured out last night what was wrong, there was nothing we could have done for her at that point.
We'll be bringing her ashes home and putting her to rest with Cara in the backyard.

Thanks everyone for your support. What a great group of friends with amazing shoulders. (((hugs)))

I'm happy you had some discreet alone time with the shades pulled to reveal your new prize. Sounds like a fond memory for years to come.

Lots of gas.

He sent us home, with instructions to follow up with our regular vet this morning.

She seemed to be doing better when we got home, I massaged her belly, and she slept.

She slept on the dog bed right next to me (Amos didn't mind giving up his bed for the night). I got up and checked on her a few times.

The last time I checked on her, she was sleeping so peacefully, I didn't want to wake her.

Poor sweet baby wasn't sleeping.

My little Montana is off romping the green hills with Cara.

To say we're devastated and shocked doesn't even come close. We took her into our vet this morning, and they'll see if they can figure out what happened, to make sure that it isn't something that could happen to our other dogs.

I'm going to be off most of the day, but needed to share with you guys. (((hugs)))
She was such a cutie!!!!! I'm so sorry for your loss Cat.... Glad she went peacefully if she had to go....
