I am thoroughly impressed,. I've only looked at a few subjects thus far, but I went straight to some of the subject matter that tends to result in pages of debate here on the forum to see how it has been covered. Feeling some what expert on what terms are the most accurate, the least likely to ignore a factor that will in fact leave questions, and I have to say, the work is very well worded, and relayed in a way that one would have to work hard to come out with more questions.

A valuable resource indeed.

That's a lot of work, a PDF version might be a good idea, a lot easier for me to find the time to read it.

Wounderfuly illustrated too!

See. this is why it's no good to stick things, they disappear at the top and no one reads them anymore
All kinds of replies and views,

Thanks CDS for the sticky! I've just added a new thread requesting comments on two new chapters that I added this week, so hopefully this will attract some more attention from those who ignore stickies!

Many thanks,
-Bill M.

Very cool! Thanks for making it available to us.

A PDF version would be cool, even if it had to be purchased. It could be updated as often as the online version as well. Maybe a way to raise some funds?

I just want to thank you all for the very positive comments -- your supportive feedback is what has most inspired me to continue developing and now maintaining this free resource. Rest assured that I view this current edition as a mere starting point. Hopefully I'll have time in the near future to incorporate the many suggestions I've been receiving offline from readers, and at some point to extend and enhance the content and format. Please email me directly if you have suggestions or find any errors. My email address is: bmajoros@duke.edu. Thanks again!

Bill
I am not a birder, but decided to take a look at this work.
It is a comprehensive, easy to read, beautiful to the eye work of art/science. I can only imagine how you felt when you first stood at the base of the mountain getting ready to ascend the task.
Excellent, and I plan on reading every page, as there is more here than just for birders.
Thank you for the effort put forth.

Good work and it is very comprehensive. I'm sure it will fit many needs for those of us who shoot birds. I know there is a lot to learn and I certainly can always use new ideas.

One suggestion would be to use a different font. A font such as Verdana would be much more readable in html pages. I too would like to have a PDF version.
