Default remote live view video shooting

hi everyone, i am wondering how is that possible for me to take a video of myself with canon 500D . i saw this

i follow the instruction there but the problem is, even i record with the smallest resolution, and it is kind of lag for me to view in my laptop.

i am wondering how do you all film yourself using remote live view function and you could see yourself every moment so that you are not out of frame. thanks
