Default Good Charlotte - Chicago Rib Fest!

Here are a few pictures that I took in the rain of Good Charlotte who happened to be playing at a fest I went to!

This is the first of what I am trying to do with the pictures, but really want to run through and do a grunge set for them.

I understand that some are blown out in respect to the drums as well as the guitar(s) and that is definitely something I have to work on with proper exposure. I've never done this so I look forward to the next time when I actually plan on shooting this type of thing.

Any tips are welcome, harsh or not!

7D w/ Sigma 50mm f/1.4 using Manual Focus for most of this due to hunting

Not that big of an issue for me.

This created a way bigger issue IMO: A lot of the shots are soft, to the point of being unusable. Which is a pity, because otherwise they are quite okay.

@kvnkane - Thank you. It's definitely been a learning experience and now have to get used to it as I don't do anything in low light/dark situations. But it was extremely fun.

@Vixen89 - Um yeah. There were people of all ages jumping on my back and smashing me left and right. Not at all times but more than 50% of the time. With it raining and being an outdoor event people were moving much more than I expected.

@René Damkot - Thank you for the assessment. That's really what got me down that night is that when I checked the pictures, the ones that were in focus weren't very action packed, but the ones that were possibly focused but not too focused were the ones that had "it". No worries though. I will be able to shoot them again come November.

Thank you all! Must keep shooooting.
