Default Remembering 9-11

These Pictures were taken by my Step Father(shown in picture#4)from a Kodak point and shoot film camera. He was part of the clean up team. He got sick with a lung infection months after but has since made a full recovery.

This is history, very sad and horrible, but it is history. Glad he took the pictures, so we ALL can remember that day. Thanks so much for sharing. Too many are forgetting...

I can still remember how eerily quiet part of the city got on that dreadful day. The only sounds were the sirens of the responders racing down to the Towers to save any lives that they can.

Yep, that was a surreal day.

My wife worked around that area and actually saw one of the planes crash into one of the WTC buildings. Thankfully she made it out alive.

I was working in midtown and the entire day was like a dream. I remember I could smell the smoke even from where I worked and also remember standing next to a guy in a business suit covered in dust and debris in the subway.

Surreal...

Glad your step-father recovered fully. Photos are both fantastic and horrific at the same time. Kudos goes to him for allowing you to share them with us.

My brother was in the building for a meeting, which the other party canceled. He walked out of the building when the first plane hit...

He is still here today
