Default Monterey Motorsports Reunion 2010 Video

Boy does video suck. I actually love shooting it and watching it, but all of the post work getting video edited and looking good totally sucks your time up. Next time I shoot video, I'm going to have to hire an editor to do the hard work for me.

Anyways, I did have fun shooting video at the RMMR, but think I am going to go back to shooting stills at Petit. I don't think it is practical to shoot both at one event and expect to get full coverage.

Enjoy the video and let me know what you all think.

(be sure to click on 720p)

Thumbs up Re: Monterey Motorsports Reunion 2010 Video

Wow, that was awesome ! If there has to be 1 little point of critique ... I would really love to hear the engines of these monsters ... But that would be my only remark ... Movie is really very very very nice ! Super !

Default Re: Monterey Motorsports Reunion 2010 Video

I loved the movie and the editing and processing, however I think some of the great footage is not highlighted very well by your music choice.

I want the music to "work" with the tempo and beat of the images (cars apex at the exact time the music hits a downbeat, etc.) and I felt that your music didn't do your images justice. Just my opinion. (Watch "On Any Sunday" for some of the San Jose Mile sequences to see the "style" I'm looking for. Again, just my opinion.

Also, what tripod or stabilizer rig and follow focus equipment did you use? Did you shoot the slo-mo stuff at 60 fps or at 24 fps and convert in post?
