Default Printing on location

Im thinking of pitching to a local football club (rugby League) the idea of
taking pics at the end of season presentation day and printing and selling prints on the day
im thinking like good mates photo's, coach and training staff photo's etc etc
I am thinking that I will charge $5 per 4x 6 or 5x7 pic printed on the spot then put in a cardboard sleeve

The question I have is where can i get the cardboard sleeves from in Australia and is $5 enough ... bearing in mind I will be there any ways

Thanks
JJ

There's a few threads on this, but as I see it you need:
- A bunch of camera equipment
- Two laptops (one to download/process on, one for people to select images on)
- One person to do the printing (while you take photo) and take the payment
- The printer
- Consumables

etc

I very much doubt people will pay even close to what it would cost for you to break even.

So you were going to print all the images and hope they'd buy them? What purchase rate are you expecting? What's the cost per print?

Or would just take portraits on request, after they've paid? Who wants a portrait when they're all sweaty, after playing a game of something?

I'm not trying to be a pita, just pointing out he practicalities. I can't see how i'd make any money off it.

no game this is the end of season presentation day so trophies rides etc

I remember when i just turned 18 and I would take a date out to dinner
and a photography would come into the restaurant and offer to take your pic
of which you had to say yes unless you wanted to look like a tight arse
then they would go off and print it and come back before your meal was done

I saw another guy do this at a rave party that i was filming a while back ... he was busy all night
I am only looking at printing 4x6's or 5x 7's and asking for payment before printing

after searching here and online i have found that the cardboard sleeves are quiet expensive around 1.80 if i buy in 50's ... so maybe i need to charge $10 ?

Thanks for letting me bounce this idea of you
