Default Nekked baby!

snapped two of my 7 month old daughter after a bath..haha please C&C is welcomed! i just attended some of the seminars from the henry's photography show and thought i'd put some stuff i learned into practice.





^i wish this one was framed a bit better but oh well.

i know it's hard to photograph babies specially they move alot, i wish in #2 u didn't cut the head a bit.

haha, thanks for the compliments, she gets her looks from her mother..LOL

basically, i atteneded a seminar on portrait lighting as well as a external flash seminar. i was playing around with spot metering and flash settings like the intensity. i recently picked up a 1d mk ii so i'm still learning everything with it. these shots were taken with a 70-200mm F4L, i can't wait until xmas when santa brings me a 24-70 F2.8L. i still got some shadowing under her chin and some harsh lighting because she was kinda greezy from the lotion which i was trying to avoid..haha

The harsh lighting is because of the direct light, not due to the lotion. You can tell there is nothing diffusing the light by the hard edged shadow under her chin. Try to diffuse the light or alternately you can bounce the light at an angle to get nice soft directional light.

actually i think it ended up being the intensity of the light. these shots were taken with the gary phong light sphere (clouady not clear) and bounced off the celing.
