Default 5D banding issues

Hi ... I'm about to buy a 5D classic, don't see any relevant advantage other than pixels for the work than I'm doing right now to buy the MKII. But I was reading about the banding issues of the 5D. Don't know if Canon fix that issue already, and did not see anything regarding that in the canon website.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks
