Working yesterday, and everything looked fine in camera, then I get home and get them on the computer... There is this purple spot in a lot of the shots. Not ALL of them, just some of them. I don't think it's light flare, because it's in some, and not in others, that are taken in the same spot with the same amount of light.
Anyone have any ideas? I've never had this problem with this lens before.... edit for sizing. re-sizing one sec. http://imgur.com/ne1z6.jpg http://imgur.com/E1BDO.jpg And no spot here, though it was taken in the same spot, same settings.... http://imgur.com/jQ67m.jpg

Do you have a filter on your lens? I cant see the images at work but it sounds like that could be it.

Looks like lens flare, would not necessarily be present in all images. Where you using a lens shield?

I can only see it in the first image. Is it possible its a shop sign?
As you say, flare seems an unlikely cause given the location. Odd reflective surfaces can always surprise though. |

Take a shot of a white wall (inside or outside) and see if you have the purple mark then.

What lens are you using? It appears that it happens at a different place (unless you cropped these images?) so that indicates its not a sensor thing. Does it happen with many lenses or just this one?
Doesnt quite look like lens flare to me besides the lighting isnt so harsh to expect lens flare in the first pic at least. |

What software? Possibly you unintentionally copied over a local adjustment done to another image in LR using synchronise?

And I don't think this happened. I'm very meticulous in lightroom, though I suppose it is a possibility. I don't see it happening multiple times though.
