Default Purple spot... [Images inside]

Working yesterday, and everything looked fine in camera, then I get home and get them on the computer... There is this purple spot in a lot of the shots. Not ALL of them, just some of them. I don't think it's light flare, because it's in some, and not in others, that are taken in the same spot with the same amount of light.

Anyone have any ideas? I've never had this problem with this lens before....

edit for sizing. re-sizing one sec.

And no spot here, though it was taken in the same spot, same settings....

Do you have a filter on your lens? I cant see the images at work but it sounds like that could be it.

Looks like lens flare, would not necessarily be present in all images. Where you using a lens shield?

No filter, and had a lens hood on it. Some of the ones with the spot were taken with no visible light source other than above. I really couldn't see it being flare, thought I could be wrong.

I can only see it in the first image. Is it possible its a shop sign?

As you say, flare seems an unlikely cause given the location. Odd reflective surfaces can always surprise though.

Take a shot of a white wall (inside or outside) and see if you have the purple mark then.

What lens are you using? It appears that it happens at a different place (unless you cropped these images?) so that indicates its not a sensor thing. Does it happen with many lenses or just this one?

Doesnt quite look like lens flare to me besides the lighting isnt so harsh to expect lens flare in the first pic at least.

What software? Possibly you unintentionally copied over a local adjustment done to another image in LR using synchronise?

It's in the second one as well, right over his right eye

Some of them are cropped yes, and it's generally in the same spot.

And I don't think this happened. I'm very meticulous in lightroom, though I suppose it is a possibility. I don't see it happening multiple times though.
