My very first set of strobist shots. Still have a ways to go but pleased with my initial attempt. Performed some skin smoothing on #2...too much? Also, any tips of on how to take care of fly away hair is greatly appreciated!

pics of my lovely wife taken with a shoot through brolley box (white shoot-through with rear reflective covering) and a yn460II trigger with an rf602. the day was overcast and cold, no directional light what so ever.... one of those white sky days, so out comes the flashes.

Nice set, and your wife is beautiful! I like them all, but I really like #1. Great light and composition.

They are all awesome. Her eyes really pop!

My g/f's idea, we kind of shared putting it together. Single 580 ex fired bare just off camera right.

thanks for the kind comments - i passed them on to my wife. There isnt a lot of pp in these, which is probably the first time i can say that truthfully. I am beginning to understand and appreciate lighting a lot more!

Ah, cool. As you can see I have the VC version, it's a very capable lens. Nice work again!

Really good idea, but the muted dark tones kinda don't do justice to the photo in my opinion.

Thanks. Was just trying for a 'dark' photo. I didn't spend much editing time on it honestly.
