Default Canon MP390 printer , scanning to high quality help

hi scene ..... i have a Canon MP390 printer , and am using ArtScan Pro as my Twain driver to Scan 6x4 images ...... i was wondering if i should stick with the default scan settings or there was anything better configs suitable ? ...... or should i use someother Twain driver ?

any help is grateful
