Default Formal B&W Portraits

Been playing around with studio lighting for a couple of weeks now and the dogs are the only ones that are willing to sit and have their picture taken. Constructive C&C is welcome and please feel free to add your own B&W portrait to the thread.

Had images published worldwide in Time, Rolling Stone, People, Vanity Fair, Mademoiselle, The Wall Street Journal, Majesty magazine, TMZ, ABC News; all with a crop camera and third party lenses. For images taken with my L lenses please refer to my nature and dog pictures.

I really like them. .. especially the second one. The overhead 'directional' light seems to work better on the second shot. .. almost ethereal.

Thank you, I printed the second one out as a 12X18 metallic and I was really happy with the results.
