380EX and 420EX flashes
I have a 380EX flash now. Is there any reason to buy a 420? I have not seen a 420 and am not sure if and what the differences are.
I am curious about the size, since my little G2 is quite top heavy with the 380 on it. Paul

The 420EX can swivel as well as tilt. That's probably the most important feature; if you take a vertical picture you can still bounce off the ceiling.
I'm sure there are other feature differences; I know the 420EX can do high-speed sync and I'm not sure if the 380EX can, but the Canon G1/G2/Pro90 don't support that. Canon's web site can proabably show you the differences... |

Tonight I dropped my 380EX. Looks like I may find out about the 420EX on my own. Will report if any interesting info comes about.

200 plus tax for a walk-in purchase. If not a few days before xmas would have gone online. Oh-well... So far only difference is the swivel of the head. Nice feature since I am crazy about bounce flashes and like portrait perspective with camera.
