Default Wedding Picture: CC welcome

Here is a picture from last Summer. I was a 2nd shooter at a weeding. I'm going through my collection to find pictures for my portfolio.

Please be hard and let me know if its portfolio quality.

If it is going in a portfolio, I would smooth her skin a little more. Im not too fond of her expression to be honest. If she mirrored his it would be a strong shot.

Thanks for the reply. What do you think of this shot.

EDIT: I don't know why her left eye is green. I guess its because of the background.

Doesn't grab me for a portfolio shot.

(I am nowhere near an expert)
I agree that her face in the first picture is a definite no-go, and it looks like it was overexposed a bit when compared with the second one. I agree with Red Tie about smoothing her skin a bit more, and both could possibly benefit from backing up a bit. They both look like they're just close enough to pick up on all the tiny details you wouldn't want in the image. Another potential improvement would be to have them facing each other, possibly?

I'd say my only big suggestions are backing up to put more in the frame and fixing the exposure,

No. Bad composition.

Any potential bride looking at that image will think the same as what my wife thought. "Its just a picture of a fat bloke, batting well above his station".

Harsh but true. Not EVERY couple you shoot should be used to market your business. You have to start thinking like a woman if you want to get bookings and yes, beauty sells!
