The belgian grand prix was the first time I could test my 20D and 100-400 with motorsport-photography.
I'm just back from the circuit (been there for 3 days), so I'm very tired. But before I go to sleep I want to share a first picture with you guys. more will follow soon, but now I go to bed ![]() 1/800s / F8 / ISO200 / 350mm

superb - sums Michael's weekend up though
thanks Sato if you have more that are that good, post them. I've been to Spa when it's wet, total insanity.

You caught the moment nicely, well done!
It would have been a really "great" shot if you had been using a lower shutter speed. Then you would have got a nice contrast between the locked inside wheel and the still turning outside. As it is there is so little motion blur in the outside wheel that you lose that. Try a maximum of 1/320th next time - that's fast enough for F1 cars. The timimg was very nice though. I look forward to seeing more. |

right place, right time.
I was at Spa in 1998 when Schumcher hit Coulthard - I was right there. After the race we clamboured over the fence and collected bits of carbon fibre. It was cheaper to go to Spa for 3 days than it was to get to Silverstone on race day
