Café Angelica had some nice blinking christmas lights over the house, and a 4 second exposure captured them all. The sky was still purple after sunset, but 3 minutes after this shot it was almost pitch black. Talking about being on the right place at the right time! The shadows and light on branches in the front came from street lamps (I shot this from the pavement). I focused in manually because there were too many branches in my way. The shutter button was pressed by hand. A few minutes after I took some shots with self-timer - they came out somewhat sharper by the light was gone and they were of no use artistically.

One could write a story while viewing this. What depth this has. The background is equisite. Like the whip cream/cherry on a sundae. Like the dot at the end of a sentence. Like the exclamation mark at the end of a remark! The background added that essence of wonderment necessary to make this photo particularly enchanting!!! in spirit...Sally ^-^
