Spiral Staircase Inside Arc De Triomphe

You have to climb this staircase in a windowless narrow tube if you want to see the top of the Arc de Triomphe. I did not realize how high the climb was - now I know better. I'd advice anyone with a weak heart to avoid this exercise. When I got near the top, there was a group of American tourists behind me and one of them cursed 'this is worse than a f*** StairMaster!'. Anyway, I made it to the top with two short pauses (but sat down for five minutes after that because my feet were so stiff). On the top I held the camera against the railing and took three shots - this is the first and the best of them.

Absolutely fantastic site, and almost impossible to choose a favourite picture. Being interested in architecture, as I am, I especially enjoy your fantastic city shots. Not only that, but the Exhibit Engine is simply breathtaking! On this particular picture, I am very impressed, and even though the railings at the bottom of the shot are slightly blurred, I dont think there's any way you could have got the F down far enough to shoot them, so well done! (Far better than I could do anyway :'( )
